Quick Heals’s anti-theft solution ‘TrackMyLaptop’, is a web based feature that allows consumers to locate and recover lost or stolen laptops. This distinctive feature provides a platform to unite the laptop-using community, law enforcement authorities and the Quick Heal team. It helps generating information and combat the growing menace of laptop theft.
Sunil Kumar Kaushik’s laptop which was stolen on a business trip, Quick Heal said, “After eight months, his laptop was accessed in Delhi and immediately Quick Heal got the traces. These traces was monitored and reported to him”.
On the basis of these traces Mr Kaushik reached the law enforcement authorities (Police), and helped them to find the location where laptop was getting accessed. Within days the computer with all its critical date was recovered and the guilty was charged for the deed.
