GoDaddy helps Jodhpur's artisans find new global customers

Godaddy-logoGurgaon, India, September 24, 2014: GoDaddy, the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to providing services for small businesses, has announced that it has broadened its relationship with ShoppyStop.com, an emerging online retailer and exporter in India, to help the company find more customers and bolster its website.

Established to unite the local artisans in Jodhpur, a city in Rajasthan, ShoppyStop.com founder Kamran Azeem said the partnership with GoDaddy has helped the community find customers around the world. The site now gets more than 500 orders every month and over 20 inquiries per day. Home to more than 200,000 artisans, Jodhpur is a manufacturing hub for antique furniture, decorative handicrafts and ethnic arts.

“I started ShoppyStop.com with an objective to provide a platform for small businesses and artisans to reach a larger audience online,” said Azeem. “GoDaddy helped me build my business online and their customer service team provided me with the right solution every time I approached them. The experience of buying GoDaddy products was really simple, and my customers consider ShoppyStop.com to be a trustworthy partner.”

The most popular TLD (top-level domain) in the world, a .COM name makes websites easy to remember, integrate better with search engines and have global relevance. The backend infrastructure of .COM is managed by Verisign, which has maintained 100 percent operational accuracy and stability for world’s leading TLDs like .COM and .NET for the past 15 years.

Using an SSL certificate from GoDaddy, Azeem integrated ShoppyStop.com with a payment gateway to ensure all vital payment information and customer data is safely and securely transmitted. The site also uses GoDaddy’s Web Hosting services for increased reliability, with guaranteed 99.9% uptime.

“It gives us immense pleasure to help businesses like ShoppyStop.com to establish successful online identities,” said Rajiv Sodhi, Vice President and Managing Director of GoDaddy India. “GoDaddy continues to work towards offering small business owners easy-to-use, affordable and effective solutions that will help them build their brands online and find more customers.”

GoDaddy offers its customers a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all products and solutions needed to build a robust online identity and run their business 24/7. The company’s mission is to empower small businesses by helping people to easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures.
