With iCLoud getting hacked, how safe are your documents online?

Praxeva-logoFor the past one week, all that seems to be popping up on our newsfeed is the story on iCloud of celebrities getting hacked and the consequent release of their private photos. So how safe is cloud to use anymore if such things happen? Many people face the ultimate decision if whether to shut their iCloud application or to use a different software to keep the secure. In the same scenario, corporate/organisation face the challenge of having to keep their documents secure. If their important legal documents, financial papers, MoU’s, etc., get hacked and leaked, the subsequent consequences can be disastrous.

In a more recent update, stories have come out about over 5 million Gmail accounts being hacked. Such news leads to companies look at alternate and safer applications to use for the purpose of business. One such application is Docuvity which is an all in one Document Management system developed by Praxeva. With the help of Docuvity, documents can now be safely stored and protected. When you send a document to a colleague, the document gets encrypted on being sent and gets decrypted on reaching the destination. This encryption prevents it from being hacked en route. Even if a third party who does not have the required permission hacks into the document, it will appear as a jumble of texts that have no meaning.  Docuvity provides an easy solution to keeping documents safe with passwords and permissions that are granted to people by the administrator which prevents other users from downloading/sharing important documents.
