Post-Budget Reaction by Mr. Vishal Parekh, Marketing Director, Kingston Technology - India

The overall Budget 2015 was low on theatrics but it seems to be positive enough to lift the spirits of India Inc. with something in there for everyone. There is a positive thrust on the future of technology in the country and the government seems to have a better focus on Better Education, Improving Infrastructure, Creating Skill-based Employment and Encouraging start ups. We welcome the reduction in corporate taxes and rationalization of custom duty on components which becomes important from the IT industry perspective. On a whole, encouraging entrepreneurship will provide a fillip to innovation, boost employment, enable an inflow of foreign exchange through exports, foster self-sufficiency and indeed, significantly contribute to India’s renewed economic growth.
