Post-Budget quote from CEO of AskmeBazaar.com Kiran Murthi:
The Modi government had clearly stated its intent to drive the digital economy and the announcements in today’s budget are very much in line with expectations. The big surprise was the setting up of a Rs 10,000 Cr fund for startups and allowing manufacturing units to sell online directly to expose the ecommerce ‘privilege’ to all and making it accessible to a large base of SME’s. SME’s are the backbone of the economy across sectors and this move is expected to result in a huge revival and create jobs and demand across the country.
